Have you ever felt intensely alive, in touch with the
moment, energized and in harmony? What if you could learn to attune yourself to
time so that every instant of your daily life became more dynamic, vivid, and
infused with wonderment? How can you actualize the ability to be more spacious
in all of your experience? Rather than being confined by habitual structures
and outworn patterns of thought, you can access new ways of knowing. When we
are open and in the flow, we foster creativity, joy, and beauty. A lived sense
of fulfillment is within our reach. We then naturally relate to others with
authentic ease.
This course experientially introduces students
to the Time, Space, and Knowledge (TSK) Vision. The TSK Vision is a secular
path of open inquiry. It is devoid of dogma, systems of beliefs, and
traditional religious commitments. These teachings come from a remarkable
series of books by Tarthang Tulku, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher originally
trained in Tibet who has communicated a path of transformative insights meant
for people in today's complex world. Inquiry through TSK engages all of our
human capacities. In this class, we draw upon selected parts from many books in
the Time, Space, and Knowledge series to introduce its path in a practical way.
No prior background in philosophy or meditation is assumed or expected.

Classes meet online for one and one-half hours each week for
seven weeks, with the seventh class meeting being a review of the practices
introduced throughout. Classes are recorded and accessible for six months. Each
week, there will be short presentations along with experiential practices and
discussion. Weekly handouts will provide inspirational readings and the
instructions you need to continue your experiential learning at home. An online
chat room gives you the optional ability to meet and dialogue with your fellow
students.
