Meet Our Faculty

Description

Dharma College introduces revolutionary insights into the structure of perception, how the ‘here and now’ is actually constructed, and reveals pathways toward integrating the creative freedom and luminosity of preconscious awareness into the very heart of everyday life. Once understood, the key is to be able to integrate these new potentialities of being into lived experience. This class, lead by the current Dean and previous Director of the College will use Dimensions of Mind and Keys of Knowledge as base texts around which discussions and practices will be undertaken. The first term will be lead by Richard Dixey, and begin with Dimensions of Mind. The second and third terms will be lead by Robin Caton, who will continue with Dimensions of Mind and perhaps move on to Keys of Knowledge. Richard will return to the class at the end of the year.

Who is the course for
This is a seminar based course for members of Dharma College who have taken a 200 level course.

What you will gain

This class is designed to encourage practice and integration of the key insights gained at the 200 level into everyday life.

Testimonials

“This has been another excellent course. The same message of freedom is stated over and over again, which is so necessary for me to get free of the trap of ingrained habits. Richard Dixey is an, excellent teacher with extensive knowledge of western concepts in many fields. He teaches us to use this to ornament our existence”.

Jivan Z.

“Robin is an excellent teacher and I look forward to her classes, no matter that I’ve taken some more than once. Her comments are helpful in grasping what Tarthang Tulku is getting at without being overly conceptual. She provides a space for students to just linger over what’s been written and try to embody it through practices.”
