Course Description

We are living at a remarkable moment in human history. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly capable of performing tasks once thought uniquely human retrieving information, generating ideas, and processing knowledge at unprecedented speed we are invited to ask deeper questions about the nature of human experience itself.

Is there more to knowing than information? Is there more to life than efficiency and productivity? What becomes possible when we rediscover the dimensions of space, time, and awareness that lie beyond our habitual ways of thinking?

For nearly fifty years, Tarthang Tulku’s groundbreaking work Time, Space, and Knowledge has invited readers into a profound exploration of these questions. Rather than presenting a philosophy to believe or a system to master, TSK offers a direct path of inquiry into the nature of experience itself. Through contemplation, reflection, and experiential practice, participants discover new ways of engaging space, time, and knowing that can open greater freedom, creativity, and depth in everyday life.

This 30-week experiential journey follows the arc of Tarthang Tulku’s newly revised and republished foundational text. Moving progressively through the dimensions of space, time, and knowledge, participants will engage in guided exercises, contemplative inquiry, discussion, and personal exploration designed to transform understanding into lived experience.

Who Is This Course For?

Beginning with the spacious dimension of embodiment and perception, we will explore how space can become a living presence rather than an abstract concept. From there, we will investigate the dynamic nature of time and its relationship to energy, change, and awareness. Finally, we will enter the profound inquiry into knowledge itself not merely as information, but as a living field of knowing that shapes and permeates experience.

More than a course of study, this is an invitation to discover dimensions of being that often remain hidden beneath the pressures and distractions of modern life. As our relationship to space, time, and knowledge begins to shift, new possibilities for presence, insight, and freedom naturally emerge.

This course is for anyone who longs for greater ease, clarity, and freedom in their life. Whether you are navigating stress, seeking a deeper connection to yourself, exploring meditation, or simply sensing that there is more to life than constant doing and striving, this course offers a practical and transformative path.

No prior experience is required. The course is open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Testimonials

“Highly engaging and stimulating course with deeply committed teacher. There is an excellent mix of discussion and practice. Huge questions, and complex material, are skillfully unpacked and made both accessible and digestible.”

Gavin A.

“A systematic way to clarify the exercises and the commentaries have made the difficult concept of TSK in the first layer of understanding. The classes have inspired me to be patient to go deeper with my understanding. Exciting exploration.”

L C.

“Really appreciate the lengths this class went in providing not only the detailed PowerPoint presentation, but also the high level of the class Summaries. I particularly love the Summaries for follow up study after class, I refer to them often. Also, the class size is small [intimate] enough to allow for relaxed discussion with all students.”
