Course Description
Step beyond the constant activity of the mind and discover a deeper sense of clarity, spaciousness, and freedom already present within experience.
Mind Space: Finding Freedom Beyond the Thinking Mind
In a world of constant stimulation, many of us feel trapped in an endless cycle of thinking, planning, worrying, and striving. We work hard to improve ourselves, solve problems, and gain control over our lives, yet often find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or disconnected from a deeper sense of ease and well-being.
What if the freedom we seek is not found by working harder on ourselves?
What if peace, clarity, and openness are already present—waiting to be discovered beneath the constant activity of the mind?
Based on his newly released book Mind Space, Ron Purser invites participants into a fresh and transformative exploration of meditation that moves beyond techniques, goals, and self-improvement. Rather than treating meditation as something we do to fix ourselves, this course explores how greater freedom naturally emerges when we learn to recognize the spacious awareness that has always been available within experience.
Through guided contemplations, experiential exercises, inquiry, and discussion, participants will discover how to relate to thoughts, emotions, and daily challenges with greater ease, balance, and clarity. As the mind settles into a wider field of awareness, new possibilities for living, relating, and understanding begin to unfold naturally.
Drawing upon more than four decades of study and practice within the Time, Space, and Knowledge tradition, Ron offers a practical and accessible introduction to one of its most profound insights: awareness is not something we create—it is something we learn to recognize.
Whether you are new to meditation or have practiced for many years, this course offers an opportunity to step beyond mental busyness and discover a deeper sense of spaciousness, presence, and freedom in everyday life.

“Really appreciate the lengths Ron went in providing not only the detailed PowerPoint presentation, but also the high level of the class Summaries. I particularly love the Summaries for follow-up study after class, I refer to them often. Also, the class size is small [intimate] enough to allow for relaxed discussion with all students.”
