Course Description

Time shapes nearly every aspect of our lives. We organize our days around schedules, deadlines, memories, and expectations, often feeling pressured by the sense that there is never enough time. Yet what if our experience of time is not fixed? What if there are new ways of relating to time that can open greater freedom, presence, and possibility?

In this course, we will explore the nature of time through the lens of Time, Space, and Knowledge, Tarthang Tulku’s groundbreaking work on perception, awareness, and experience. Rather than seeing time as something that simply passes, we will investigate how our assumptions about past, present, and future shape the way we understand ourselves, relate to others, and engage with the world.

Through guided inquiry, experiential exercises, contemplative exploration, and discussion, participants will learn to recognize habitual patterns of time-based thinking and discover new possibilities for living with greater spaciousness, clarity, and ease. As our relationship to time begins to shift, we may find ourselves less driven by pressure and urgency and more open to creativity, presence, and direct experience.

This course is not about time management. It is an invitation to explore time itself as a field of awareness and discovery. By learning to engage time differently, we can open new dimensions of understanding and experience that enrich both our inner and outer lives.

Who Is This Course For?

Testimonials

“This is a wonderful course because the instructors go with care and methodical slowness through the text. Although I have read “Time, Space and Knowledge” a number of times before I greatly benefit from this course. The careful and deep reading of the text gives me an opportunity to discover dimensions I simply had missed before.”

“The power point slides, the teachings, the exercises. All just excellent!”
