Course Description
What if your body holds a wisdom that the thinking mind alone cannot access?
Many of us move through life disconnected from the body’s natural intelligence. We spend our days caught in thought, managing responsibilities, and responding to endless demands, often overlooking the profound source of insight, vitality, and well-being that is available within our own embodied experience.
This six-week course invites you to rediscover the body as a gateway to greater presence, balance, and aliveness. Drawing from contemplative traditions, somatic awareness practices, and the experiential teachings of Dharma College, we will explore how the body can become a source of wisdom, healing, and transformation.
Through guided exercises, reflective inquiry, gentle movement, and practical applications for daily life, participants will learn how to listen more deeply to the body’s messages, release patterns of tension and reactivity, and cultivate a more integrated relationship between body, mind, and awareness.

As we reconnect with the body’s innate intelligence, we discover not only greater ease and vitality, but also a richer capacity for joy, resilience, creativity, and authentic engagement with life.
This is not a fitness class or a study of anatomy. It is an invitation to experience the body as a living field of awareness a doorway to deeper knowing and a fuller experience of what it means to be human.
Drawing on the profound wisdom of the Tibetan tradition and the power of direct experience, this course invites you to rediscover the body’s innate capacity for awareness, balance, and well-being. Through guided exploration and practical exercises, you will learn to reconnect with a deeper sense of presence, vitality, and aliveness. Kum Nye
Kum Nye is a unique Tibetan practice of relaxation and embodied awareness introduced to the West by Tibetan meditation master Tarthang Tulku. Rooted in centuries of contemplative wisdom, Kum Nye offers a gentle yet profound path for awakening the body's natural capacity for presence, vitality, and well-being. Through simple movements, breathing practices, self-massage, and mindful awareness, participants learn to release accumulated tension and reconnect with deeper levels of energy, sensitivity, and ease. Rather than striving for achievement or performance, Kum Nye invites a direct experience of balance, openness, and aliveness that can transform the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
