Our Mission

Dharma College is committed to igniting personal and global transformation by helping people unlock the power of their minds. Our interactive classes, which are grounded in both Eastern and Western wisdom traditions, spark the insight students need to change stale mental patterns and make a stronger connection to the world. We encourage the participation of people of all ages and backgrounds, whether spiritual seekers or those simply curious about the possibilities for new, transformative knowledge. As we develop greater understanding of mind and self, we become more balanced, authentic, and caring human beings. We hope you will consider joining us on this journey to a more meaningful way of life.

Message From Dharma College Director

Robin Caton

Welcome to the Dharma College website. As you explore its pages, you will learn more about our community and our unique program. My own path to Dharma College has led me through different professional fields. I spent fifteen years as a litigator with a large San Francisco law firm, where I became the first woman partner. I left that to pursue a lifelong interest in creative writing, published a book of poetry, and later taught at the college level. Along the way I was very lucky to discover the books and teachings of Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku, a traditionally trained teacher in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He opened Dharma College in the Fall of 2012, and since then I have been privileged to serve as the Director and lead Instructor here. I have found that the teachings we offer, which are guided by the book Revelations of Mind, broaden the horizon of our students. People connect more deeply to their own inner values, and open to a compassionate and generous outlook toward others. This becomes the gateway to a happier life. Please feel free to get in touch with us by phone at 510.809.2010, or by email at registrar@dharma-college.com, if you have any questions or want to learn more. I look forward to meeting you soon.
