Light of Understanding – Online Course

Tuesdays, October 31st – December 12th, 10 – 11:30 am
Instructor: Robin Caton

In this online course, we shine a light of understanding on mind. Old assumptions about language, time, and perception are examined freshly through inquiry and practice. Greater self-knowledge and inner calm are the natural results.

No class on November 21st.

This online course is fully interactive; we discuss and practice as though we are together in a classroom. Classes are recorded and students receive a link if they have to miss. Maximum class size is 15. Pre-registration is required.

For those who have taken two or more courses at Dharma College, or have read “Revelations of Mind” to chapter 40.

Path to Wholeness

Wednesdays, November 1st – December 13th , 10:30 am – Noon
Instructor: Robin Caton

We continue our year-long study of the structure of mind, time, and self, guided by Dimensions of Mind and Keys of Knowledge. These recent books by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku open a path to wholeness, which, as the author says, “is never wholly for our selves. For real wholeness is always communicated to others in spreading ripples of positive influence and deep appreciation.

No class on November 22nd.

Students who have not taken ‘Path to Wholeness’ before may enroll this term with the consent of the Instructor.

Hidden Dimensions of Mind: Dialogues With Mind

Wednesdays, November 1st – December 13th , 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Instructor: Jack Petranker

You are warmly invited to attend this second term of a year-long course based on Dimensions of Mind, an accessible yet sophisticated text written in the form of a dialogue between teacher and student. Taught by the book’s editor, a path of self-observation will be introduced “in which mind freely dialogues with mind.” Key questions and practices spark new knowledge that has an immediate, practical, and beneficial effect.

No class on November 22nd.

Open to everyone!  New students may try the first class with no obligation.

Expanding Limits

Location: Rossmoor Community in Walnut Creek
Thursdays, November 2nd – December  14th, 1:30 – 3:00
Instructor: Robin Caton

If we become acquainted with the thoughts and emotions that limit us, and transform them as they arise, we have a key to a new way of being in the world. In this course, we begin to see how that may be possible, as we work with practices that free us from stale patterns, opening heart and mind.

No class on November 23rd.

New students may try the first class with no obligation.

Revealing Mind

Fridays, November 10th – December 15th, 10:00 – 11:30 am
Instructor: Richard Dixey

In this two-year course about mind, identity and the nature of reality, we read and study Revelations of Mind for the third or fourth time.

No class on November 24th.

New students may join with the consent of the Director.

Confused Mind is Not My Friend

Saturdays, November 4th – December 16th, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Instructor: Abbe Blum

How can we possibly make decisions wisely while our thoughts and emotions swirl and converge like a mental traffic jam? In this course, we will look more closely at the rapid, continuous way our mind constructs our ‘reality’. The result is often an inability to know who we are, or what we deeply value. Through practice, discussion, and guided observation, we begin to clear space for a new, and more authentic way of being.

No class on November 25th.

New students may try the first class with no obligation.
